Indi Jeans Follow Up

by Kate on May 4, 2021

I screwed myself! You know how you can build something up so high in your mind, you can convince yourself that you found the perfect thing, that it would solve all your problems only to be inevitably disappointed because nothing and no one could ever live up to such high expectations? Well, I did that with Indi custom-made jeans.

In case you missed it, here’s the first part of my Indi jeans review. Well, I now have my jeans. They don’t fit. Whaaannt whaaaaaanh.

I guess I should have known that “custom” jeans that are not outrageously expensive are too good to be true.

I tore open the package when it arrived, so excited. But when I donned the jeans they were not made for my body. Oh, they were long enough. The butt kinda fit. But the waist was literally 6 inches too wide. No, 7 inches. Humongous. The amount of fabric I could grab in my hand to even get the jeans to touch my skin! When I hold up the jeans, the waist actually is larger than the hips, like an hourglass but inverted.

I’m disappointed, to say the least. These are supposed to be custom made, so every measurement should fit - especially the waist! If I had measured it myself I could lay the blame at my own feet for possibly making a mistake. But I actually went to the Indi jeans folks in person and had them take all the measurements they needed, so there should have been no errors involved.

So, I’ve got to send the jeans back to “exchange.” I’ve now spent so long waiting for these jeans that I’m kinda over it.

And do you know the worst part…I gave away my old jeans in anticipation. Not smart. Now I’m jeans-less and headed out to the stores to buy something off the rack. You know how much of a hassle that can be!

I was hoping that Indi was my silver bullet. My answer to never having to try on thousands of pairs of jeans again. But what they say is true…you never know how something will look on you until you TRY IT ON. Try before you buy, that’s my advice.

Well that’s quite the “bummer” now, isn’t it? I was hoping you’d say it was a perfect fit, then I would have given it a try.

I can’t believe they took tailored measurements of you and STILL got it wrong. Hope the next pair works out.

I know it. I was so hoping I found the key. Will let you know if I find any other “magical” cure, but till then I’m off on the hunt for a good pair. Still haven’t found anything.
