Puddle Jumpin’

by kate on January 30, 2021

It’s been, like, forever since it’s rained here in Northern California. But not any more. It’s puddle jumpin’ time!

Oh, to be a toddler again.

Did you know that in Iceland, they have a word that means jumping in puddles: hoppiolla. Imagine. A whole word dedicated to letting loose, getting your feet wet, feeling the splash rise up and the anticipation of getting royally soaked. Love it.

Oh, and a band wrote a song about it.

LOVE Sigur Ros. Target also has some cute little rain boots and jackets I just saw.

Oh my goodness, that video was beyond lovely! Thanks for posting, it put a smile on my face. We are never too old to forget our inner child!

Kate-loved the video! Made me want to run out and jump in puddles, but like SF, it hasn’t rained here in New Orleans in forever. So, I guess I’ll just have to go out and ring someone’s doorbell.
